laughed

one day, i set my eyes on you and laughed.

i laughed because i didn't know what else to do.
i laughed because i thought of you.
i laughed because i couldn't believe that you were still here.

then i rethought every thought i had ever had about you
and some were horrible and some were terrific and some were confusing.
but i couldn't stop laughing.

because this is what happens when we truly love someone.
when if that someone was only alive and well,
we are truly happy
and we can't help but laugh
